Hey there! I'm a model too. I really just do it as a hobby, but I am looking to gain more exposure and publicity. How did you go about doing that? Much love. xo
Hey hun! This is a really difficult question for me. I’ve have actually been told by a handful of my friends that I’m horrible with publicity and the business aspect of this industry. Haha. I actually couldn’t agree with them more. It’s something I’ve been trying to work on myself, but I think a good start would be to build up a really great portfolio. Get creative. Message makeup artists and designers that inspire you. Submit to magazines online. Never think something is impossible. If someone else in this world has done it, so can you! Remember that! xoxo
Do you make as much or more money modeling than you would with a regular full time job?
This question is just too broad to answer. A regular full time job could mean a million different jobs. Plus, I’m not on a payroll, so there’s really no way for me to make a comparison to this other mystery job. On top of that, I don’t really like talking to strangers about how much money I make. Haha. However, I can tell you that I make money modeling, performing, doing make-up, and helping with costume design. I absolutely love doing it all and have worked my ass off for years to make these things my full time job. I pay rent, I eat well, and I’m happy. Would I like to make more money? Duh. Who doesn’t? I want 10ft props in my shows, 10 different pairs of one of kind feather fans, a Swarovski crystal subscription, and an endless wardrobe that was custom made for my body. The dream is that I become more and more successful, so that I can make more and more money doing all these things I love. Just like any other job. The key is hard work and determination. :)
